Ministry Partner: Becca Solaas-Rodriguez

Meet our new Director of NextGen Outreach!

Becca and Jacob have been married for four adventure-filled years, establishing their home in Becca’s hometown of Memphis, TN. They enjoy hiking together and taking in new experiences to create lasting memories. Becca currently works from home in their midtown apartment while Jacob is deployed with the U.S. Army.

For the last fourteen years Becca has lived the student ministry life, serving briefly as a licensed local pastor before realizing God’s call for her life was beyond church ministry. Becca’s passion for social justice and empowering students, families, and communities has been present throughout her ministry, challenging her students and congregations that following Christ means constantly going beyond ourselves.

Serving in student ministry has offered Becca a wealth of opportunities from leading conference-wide retreats and weeks of summer camp to organizing national gatherings.

Becca has also hosted student lock-ins that address race, class, and the power of fear, as well as participated in a wide range of missions! Leading her students through neighborhood centers, union missions, soup kitchens, home repair teams, hurricane relief, and more, Becca has been passionate about showing her students how to better care for their neighbors.

With Becca’s new role as Director of NextGen Outreach, she is overjoyed at the opportunity to increase World Wide Village’s impact with students and families both domestically and globally. Becca looks forward to providing families with tools that empower and equip them to be incredible leaders at home, raise a stronger and more faithful generation, and strengthen their communities.
