“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” Psalm 127:3

Farana was all smiles the day she shared her gratitude for having access to maternal healthcare right in her own village. She and her husband are expecting baby #3 soon and she has been part of the Healthy Mothers + Healthy Babies program in Williamson from the moment the doors were open to patients.

Farana delivered her other children at home without a trained birth attendant because she could not afford to deliver at a hospital. During labor with her first child, Farana suffered from chest pain, headaches and stomach pain. She feared she would lose her baby. This time Farana plans to deliver her baby at the World Wide Village medical center. She is thankful for the well-trained WWV midwife and staff.

“The World Wide Village medical center is so important. It is not far away from my house and it helps women in my community who do not have enough resources.”

Farana and her husband are excited to see their family grow and are thankful for God’s blessings. They are grateful that you are making it possible for Farana to receive the care she needs to bring a healthy baby into this world.

“I am most looking forward to having a new baby because it is precious to hold a new baby in your arms,” says Farana.

On behalf of moms like Farana, thank you!
