Sample messaging for friends and family:
- This year for my birthday I am raising funds for World Wide Village! It’s simple. Instead of a gift, please make a donation and bless the people of Haiti. Your donation will go toward meeting the most critical needs – food, medicine, funds for small businesses, goats and more. Thank you for helping me celebrate my birthday by doing good in the world! World Wide Village is important to me because ________________. What a sweet celebration it will be!
- As you know, my birthday is coming up soon, and this year I know exactly what I want! It’s something new and very exciting. Instead of gifts, I’m donating my birthday to raise funds to support projects doing good in the world. I started this fundraiser to raise $500 for World Wide Village. Every penny of my birthday fundraiser goes to fund projects that provide sustainable solutions to poverty in rural Haiti, plus share the love of God with the people there. So this year, instead of the gifts, would you please join me in making my birthday wish come true by helping me raise $500 to support World Wide Village? Thank you so much for being a part of my life and helping me accomplish something that’s very, very important to me.
