The book of Acts shows a vivid picture of how God spread His gospel to the nations during the time of the early church in Jerusalem.

“And on that day a great persecution arose against the church in Jerusalem.” (Acts 8:1) “Now those who were scattered went about preaching the word.” (Acts 8:4) “So there was much joy in that city.” (Acts 8:8) “The hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.” (Acts 11:21)

Today, God is doing the same to bring many to salvation in Haiti!

Jean Martin Etienne is a long-time friend and pastor who led a church and school in Port-au-Prince. He and his wife, Jacquemise, were forced to flee their home six months ago. Gangs ransacked their school, their church, and their home. They sought shelter with a friend in the mountains near Pignon, where God led these families to plant a small church.

They focused their early efforts in the village of Bail building relationships, bringing the community together for projects like fixing dangerous roads, and helping provide for those in need. God has multiplied their efforts tenfold!

The hand of the Lord has been with Pastor Martin and Jacquemise and many have turned to the Lord. The Agape Victory Church of Bail has seen over 100 peopled attending and 50 people come to Christ in less than four months!

If you have been praying for Haiti or giving to the Cornerstone Club, you have been a wonderful part of these efforts! Our prayers over the last two years for God to draw many to salvation in Haiti during these extremely difficult times have been answered with a yes! Thank you for praying! The generosity of our Cornerstone Club members has also provided occasional meals for Agape Victory Church of Bail. We are grateful!

What else is happening in Haiti?

EDUCATION:

We are grateful that schools have been open full-time the last two months in our area of Haiti with no interruptions due to violence. Students are currently taking their third quarter exams and classwork will go into July this year.

A special thanks to our sponsors for making learning possible! You are helping break the cycle of illiteracy and poverty in Haiti!

SCHOOL LUNCHES:

With poverty and food insecurity growing by the day in Haiti, school lunches are more important now than ever! In Haiti, we are reminded daily to be thankful for the little things.

Receiving a delivery of school food used to be insignificant, but right now rural areas of Haiti are facing food shortages, increased prices, and ongoing roadblocks. Today, receiving a delivery of school food is another reason to be grateful for God’s provision. Thanks be to God for full bellies!
