HEALTHY MOTHERS + HEALTHY BABIES:

Over the past month, five precious babies have entered the world at Sant Sante Espwa, each one a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness. Thanks to your generosity, mothers in rural Haiti are receiving prenatal care, safe deliveries, and compassionate medical support that help give their babies the healthiest possible start in life. Every new life is a celebration and a testament to the difference your partnership is making!

“Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from Him.” — Psalm 127:3

GRADUATES:

Chrisla Vilsaint is known for her kind and cheerful spirit. Living with her parents, two brothers, and two sisters, she grew up in a family where the cost of secondary education was simply out of reach.

Sponsorship changed that reality by making it possible for her to continue her studies. Through hard work she even earned the second highest scores in her class.

As evidence that our sponsorship staff in Haiti make such an impact on the lives of our students, Chrisla asked Mr. Belange to be the godfather of her graduation. Congratulations, Chrisla!

Dawing Philistin is an extremely bright 19-year-old who lives with his parents and seven siblings. His father, a teacher who deeply values education, struggled when many students at his school could not afford tuition as gang violence blocked roads and damaged the economy. There were months the family went without a paycheck.

Despite these hardships, Dawing excelled in his studies and remained committed to learning. Through sponsorship, he has received the support needed to continue his education and reach graduation at the top of his class. We’re excited to see how God will use Dawing after graduation!

Sherlie Vilpy’s journey to graduation is a remarkable story of resilience and shows it’s never to late to accomplish your goals. After losing her mother and taking time away from school, she faced significant obstacles that could have ended her education.

At age 24, Sherlie returned to school with the support of sponsorship and refused to give up on her dreams. Known by her nickname “Shersher” and for her love of reading the Bible, she is now preparing to graduate as she nears 30 years old, a powerful testimony of perseverance and hope.

MICROGRANTS OF HOPE:

There was a time when Mirlanda wasn’t sure she would finish school. Her family struggled with extreme poverty, and on some mornings she drank saltwater to quiet her hunger before heading to class. Thanks to her faithful sponsor, she graduated, became a leader in her church, and recently joined World Wide Village’s Microgrants of Hope program.

With the help of a microgrant from her sponsor, Mirlanda traveled to Port-au-Prince to purchase inventory and has begun selling household essentials like shampoo, deodorant, toilet paper, and sunscreen in her community. Her journey from a hungry schoolgirl to a business owner is a beautiful reminder of what God can do through opportunity, determination, and generous hearts.

Thank you for helping make stories like Mirlanda’s possible. To God be the glory!
