Several months ago, we shared about a new church plant in Bail, Haiti. Jean Martin Etienne is a long-time friend and pastor who led a church and school in Port-au-Prince. He and his wife, Jacquemise, were forced to flee their home almost a year ago. Gangs ransacked their school, their church, and their home. They sought shelter with a friend in the mountains near Pignon, where God led these families to plant a small church.

They focused their early efforts in the village of Bail building relationships, bringing the community together for projects like fixing dangerous roads, and helping provide for those in need. God has multiplied their efforts tenfold! Pastor Martin says, “Something amazing is happening right before our eyes in Bail, Savanette. Agape Victory Church in Bail is a real tool in God’s mighty hand.”

Since that time, they have seen almost 100 people come to Christ and many more who have recommitted their lives to the Lord. They have held weddings for couples who have felt called to be married before the Lord and helped provide for many physical needs.

Just last month when you donated for family food packs, a WWV supporter donated one Bible for each food pack provided. Thanks to your generosity, the first 20 Bibles were distributed last week!

Pastor Martin said, “Weapons are being distributed in Haiti right now. Some weapons kill people, some weapons build people. Thank you for providing 20 Bibles to people in our new church plant in Bail, Savanette.”

Please continue to pray for this new body of believers. Pray for lives to be touched and God to draw many to Himself. Also be on the lookout for ways to help bless this new church in the coming months, as they begin the process of constructing a new building!
