The need for education in Haiti is staggering. Nearly half of all school-age children do not have the opportunity to attend school. This lack of education has perpetuated the cycle of illiteracy and poverty that has plagued Haiti for decades.
For $38 per month you can invest in the future of Haiti by providing a child the opportunity to attend a Christ-centered school. When you sponsor a child you provide help for today, hope for tomorrow, and faith for eternity.
CHILDREN IN NEED OF SPONSORSHIP:
Djivens Laguerre: Good Samaritan
Age: 6
School: Good Samaritan
Djivens lives with his mom, dad and younger sister in Luly, Haiti. Luly is a small fishing village along the western coast of Haiti. Djivens' dad works as a mason (when work is available) and his mom sells Haitian Fritay - delicious fried food. While his parents work hard, they do not earn enough to afford school tuition. Djivens says he wants to be an athlete when he grows up. A sponsorship would allow him to continue in school!
