SANT SANTE ESPWA
This month has been a busy and beautiful one at Sant Sante Espwa—with many new babies born! But with birth, especially in places like Haiti, often come great risks. The nearest hospital that can perform C-sections is over 45 minutes away, making every minute critical when complications arise. That’s why having a skilled midwife and nurse on site is truly lifesaving.
Just last week, our amazing team recognized the warning signs of a troubled labor and rushed a young mother to the hospital just in time for an emergency C-section—saving both her and her baby. What a miracle!
Moments like this are only possible because of your generosity. Thank you for helping protect mothers and babies in Haiti—you are part of every life saved!
YOUTH BIBLE CLUBS
Beyond fun and friendship, Youth Bible Clubs plant seeds of faith that can grow for a lifetime. Each week, children hear about Jesus—the One who brings peace when life feels uncertain and offers hope when the world feels heavy.
These beautiful children learn that no matter what they face, they are never alone. Through these gatherings, young hearts are being shaped by God’s Word and strengthened by the truth that His love has the power to change everything. Plus, their empty bellies are filled with the meal provided!
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
School is starting in Haiti over the next two weeks, and what a joy it is to see students heading off in their brightly colored uniforms! Despite the continued insecurity in our area, we’re celebrating that more than 500 sponsored students will be able to attend classes instead of being on the streets this year.
Sponsorship is giving these children safety, purpose, and the gift of education. That’s something to celebrate!
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
As poverty has risen significantly in our area of Haiti, many families desperately need help with school supplies like books and uniforms. While sponsorship does not provide enough to cover this for each family, some sponsors and other donors have helped to provide for some of the poorest families in our program.
There’s nothing that lights up a child’s eyes like their first school uniform and brand new schoolbooks!
