For Guerline Simoner, life revolves around hard work and family. Guerline lives with her husband and earns a living selling charcoal in the market, using her earnings to help her grandchildren and others. For Jeannette Jean, her family depends on her, too. She lives with her teenage children and sells meat in the market to help provide for them.

These women share something very important: they both struggle with high blood pressure, and both are vital to the families who depend on them.

High blood pressure is often called a “silent” disease because it may cause no noticeable symptoms, yet it can quietly damage vital organs and increase the risk of heart attack and stroke. In Haiti, hypertension is a significant health concern. The World Health Organization estimates that over 40% of adults ages 30–79 in Haiti have high blood pressure. Yet access to diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing expensive medication can be difficult, especially for families already struggling to meet their daily needs.

And this is where your generosity makes a difference. Through our wonderful staff members at Sant Sante Espwa, donors like you are helping provide medications to women like Guerline and Jeannette, women who work hard, care for their families, and are the backbones of their households.

Thank you for making it possible for them to receive the treatment they need before a preventable illness becomes a life-threatening one. Your support doesn’t just provide medicine, it helps protect mothers, wives, caregivers, and the families who need them most.
