We are partnering with our friends at One Mission Fundraising this year for a creative new fundraiser for World Wide Village called “Change for Chickens!” We just need YOUR help! Here’s how it works: One Mission Fundraising hand-makes and sells scented soy candles packaged in fun change banks (pictured below).
There are two ways to participate: 1) Request your own candle by e-mailing Kim Anderson at kanderson@worldwidevillage.org. Collect as much change as possible over the month of April and help support the WWV poultry program and City on a Hill. 2) Engage as many people as possible to join you in this fundraiser – friends, family, church groups, book clubs, c0-workers, youth groups, etc. Simply give them a candle (provided for free from WWV) and ask them to collect change (pennies, nickels, quarters & dimes) and fill up their banks for World Wide Village during the month of April. It’s easy! Here are more details if you plan to recruit friends and family:
We also don’t want to forget to mention that this is a “Change for Chickens” CHALLENGE! There will be prizes from One Mission Fundraising for the WWV supporter who collects the most change.
Will you take the challenge?
All donations will go toward purchasing chickens for a family business in Haiti and City on a Hill. Imagine how just a little pocket change can make a big impact in the lives of those in Haiti and join us in “Change for Chickens!”
Please contact Kim Anderson at kanderson@worldwidevillage.org if you are interested in participating!
The deadline for signing up is March 31st and the fundraiser will run through the month of April. Once you sign up we will provide you with the materials you need to make your fundraiser a success! Thanks for considering joining us in raising funds for World Wide Village and helping to build sustainable communities through agriculture in Haiti.
