Madi Marohn, Miss Minnesota Teen from the International Junior Miss Competition, was in Haiti last week on a short-term Impact Trip. She spent time with young Haitian girls talking about how their Heavenly Father views them as a princess. Here is a little note from Madi:

“It was a blessing to be able to spend time with some of the young girls after VBS in Williamson and let them all know how precious they are to God! To do so I put on my crown (I am the current IJM Miss Minnesota Teen), and we passed out tiaras and reminded them of how God sees them as beautiful with the verse, Song of Solomon 4:7, “You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you.” We went on to talk about how they were God’s princesses and they absolutely loved the thought of that! Their faces lit up! I took a picture with each and every girl and we were able to print them out for the girls later in the week so that hopefully they can look back on that picture and remember the truth of the princess message. That they are beautiful and special and so very loved by God. That they are God’s princesses. Later in the day I learned that Ou bél was how one says “you’re beautiful” in Creole. And that is most certainly the case for each and every one of those ladies, inside and out.” – Madi Marohn
