Meet Damas! Damas Louis is a young man currently living in Williamson, Haiti. About 6 months ago, he was given a small business loan from World Wide Village. With this loan, he started purchasing and reselling motor oil and motorcycle parts to the community of Williamson.

This business opportunity granted by WWV has equipped Damas to support his family, ensuring his children have access to education. “The best way to live in Haiti is by owning your own business. If you have a successful business, you can stay here your whole life,” said Damas. “The most important thing to me is that my children get an education, so that they can make a living and support themselves, even after I have passed away.”

Damas is family-focused, and his story is not all that different from ours in the States. His priorities rest in ensuring a successful future for his children and providing for his family, and we are all able to relate to that. Coming alongside Damas and his business has been a pleasure for World Wide Village, and we love to celebrate his success!

We are so thankful to our wonderful supporters who have already joined the Cornerstone Club and are committed to building a strong foundation for World Wide Village. These amazing partners give monthly to be a part of these success stories like Damas. Our hope is that together, we can continue to equip fathers to care for their families in sustainable ways in Haiti.
