Wouldn’t it be wonderful if every teenage girl in Haiti knew that there is hope because God is faithful? What if they could understand God’s unconditional love for them? There are so many truths from scripture that can encourage teenage girls in Haiti. Thanks to your support, a study that started with a handful of girls has now grown to nearly 50 young women!

One of the young women who has benefitted from studying the Bible is Christlove. She has been attending sewing school at the World Wide Village Sewing Center and has been a regular attendee of the Williamson Bible Study. “I’ve learned so much in this study,” she said. “I would definitely recommend it to the other girls in the community. I want more girls to come to this study and give their lives to Christ…”

World Wide Village hopes to equip these young women with Bible study resources by Beth Moore that have been translated into Haitian Creole. One study is on the Old Testament book of Esther and is a story of courage which contains many modern parallels.  “Esther, while a queen, lived as an outsider in a hostile environment. Women will learn strong lessons of faith, providence, and hope to equip them to live courageously ‘for such a time as this.’” Each girl will also each receive a new Creole Bible if they do not have their own.

God’s Word says that we are chosen, blessed, free, treasured, forgiven, a friend and a daughter of the King. These are truths that teenage girls in Haiti need to hear. Our prayer is that these truths will permeate the culture in Haiti and will be a blessing in the lives of each of the girls who come.

This spring, World Wide Village is raising funds to provide these quality Bible study resources, new Bibles and staff salaries for overseeing the program.
