Everyone, meet Elzada!  Elzada is a 54-year-old adoptive mother of multiple children in the Williamson community. She is an extraordinary woman—when she sees a need, she consistently steps up to find a solution. She has taken in kids from the community that don’t have access to basic necessities.

“I just love to help the kids more than anything,” she said. “It makes it all worth it.”

Elzada finds incomparable value in giving her kids the opportunity to complete their education. “I had to drop out of school early to work,” she said. “I don’t want my kids to have to do that. I want them to be able to finish school.” For work, Elzada buys products from the larger community of Arcahaie, which is south of Williamson, and then resells them to the people in Williamson. With the profit, she buys food for her family. Most recently, Elzada had an injury that made it difficult to work.

Since she was a young girl, Elzada has been following Jesus. “I have placed my entire life in the hands of Jesus. Without Him, I would not be here right now,” she said. “There are days where I will wake up in the morning and have nothing to eat for the day. And then, God will show up in a big way. He will provide food for my family one way or another, and that is nothing short of a miracle.”

Elzada benefits from the World Wide Village Women’s Conferences in Williamson. During these conferences, Elzada is able to dig deeper into God’s Word and learn about His truths found in the BIble. She is encouraged to share her faith with others and draw near to Christ. Elzada is always the first to give a hug, a word of encouragement, or share a story of how God is working in her life.

Elzada’s life is a beautiful image of servant-hearted selflessness. She is wholeheartedly devoted to serving the Lord, and we love to come alongside her and celebrate her courage and resilience!
