Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday November 28, 2017

Black Friday. Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday.

We are thrilled that you are interested in joining the #GivingTuesday team this year. There’s nothing more exciting than watching our amazing supporters mobilize their friends and family to really make an impact in Haiti.

Raising Funds on #GivingTuesday is easy.

STEP 1

See the many needs in Haiti and decide to #DoSomething.

It only takes a few minutes to set up a campaign. Pick a name. Pick a photo. Write your story. And just like that, you'll be ready to start raising money for the people of Haiti.

Haiti has the highest rate of cervical cancer in the world. WWV has an amazing opportunity to partner with global leaders to fight cervical cancer in Haiti. Each $10 donation can screen one woman for cervical cancer.

87% of children in rural Haiti do not receive the minimum ration of daily food. Nutritious school lunches not only help children avoid the effects of malnutrition, but also promote learning. $60 can feed each child in the school for one day.

STEP 2

Spread the word about your fundraiser. Ask your friends to give on #GivingTuesday.

Once your campaign is set up, it's time to tell everyone about it. The more people you tell, the quicker you'll reach your goal. Then sit back and be amazed at the generosity of your friends and family.

STEP 3

See how your support is changing lives and furthering God's work in Haiti.

After #GivingTuesday is over, World Wide Village will use the funds for the project of your choice. You'll have a chance to enjoy stories and photos of how your donations are changing lives.

The gift of goats can provide sustainability for families living in rural Haiti. Chickens and hogs can create economic growth for communities like Williamson & Luly. $100 provides a pregnant goat and training for a family in need.

Are you ready to #DoSomething?

“Raising funds for Haiti on #GivingTuesday was so simple, yet so rewarding. World Wide Village helped us set up our crowd-funding page and then we started spreading the word. We were blown away by the support and generosity of our friends and family – even those on Facebook we hadn’t talked to in years! My husband and I were able to raise over $7,000 toward the construction of the medical center and felt so blessed to be a small part of making that project a reality for the people of Haiti.” - 2016 #GivingTuesday team member
