Fifteen team members from Renovation Church in Minnesota traveled to Haiti at the beginning of February with World Wide Village. Here are a few of the ways this team served the Haitian people:
- Built 26 church benches for Pastor Joassaint’s new church that was just completed
- Held a Vacation Bible School with children from the WWV school in Williamson
- Held a community outreach event with music in Williamson
- Held a community event to dedicate the new medical clinic and showed the Jesus Film
- Hosted a women’s conference on breastfeeding/nurturing children and other topics
- Prayer walked through the community of Williamson
The most exciting and rewarding part of the trip was seeing 19 people commit their lives to follow Jesus. A special thanks to the Renovation team for being the hands and feet of Jesus and supporting the local church by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and supporting the work that Haitian believers are doing with God’s strength on a daily basis.
Romans 10:13-15 “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
