We love to see children in brightly colored uniforms heading back to school in rural Haiti. We are so thankful for all of you who give each month to make this possible!

Even as life continues to be very difficult for many families, we know school is essential for building brighter futures. It’s been said that “education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” Our hope is that education will change the life of a child, a family, a community and a country. We pray it will ultimately point children and families to Christ.

We see so much potential in our students and hope that with your support, they will be able to accomplish everything God has in store for them.

Yet there are so many barriers in Haiti. According to UNICEF, acute malnutrition among children has increased by 61% over the last year in Haiti. In a country with 11 million people, about 4.4 million are estimated to be food insecure including 1.9 million children. These statistics are staggering.

Thanks to our amazing student sponsors, World Wide Village is fighting malnutrition in Haiti by offering lunches at the WWV supported schools. It is not uncommon for children in Haiti to miss meals because of poverty. The hot meal at school is often the only daily meal a child will receive.

Providing school lunches in Haiti is not only necessary to fight malnutrition, it has also been shown to increase school attendance and increase passing rates at all grade levels. Children who receive a school lunch can learn and thrive and reach their full potential. Thank you for making this possible!
